Pacific Northwest Marine Layer

The marine layer, or coastal fog, in the Pacific Northwest is formed when warm, moist air blows over the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean and condenses. This dense fog frequently rolls over the rocky cliffs and beaches, particularly during the summer and early fall months. Here are few shots of this fog.
